Hobbs Early College High School (HECHS) currently operates as an academy model where only a subset of students at Hobbs High School are enrolled in the early college high school. Providing an individualized learning style, HECHS helps students determine and discover what program of study is best for them. These students can enroll in Associate degree courses or elective classes such as AP Art, Culinary Arts, Skills USA, and Agriculture to support their extracurricular interests or be enrolled in classes that allow them participate in band, choir, or athletics on the Hobbs High School campus. HECHS provides access to career pathways through its postsecondary partner New Mexico Junior College (NMJC), offering an Applied Science Degree in Animal Science, Automotive Technology, Business, Construction Technology, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Energy Technology, Entertainment and Music, Nursing, and Welding.
